Your column has become a favorite. Well, favorite. Not since Jim Knipfel’s Slackjaw have I anticipated such… Personality.
Jim’s column was Fake. Yours is real, like scary real, and I’ve enjoyed the Weeks immensely, especially picking them apart like split ends. The exercise in brevity keeps me engaged, otherwise I get all Fat and careless. I’ve only written Haiku since, I don’t know, last year or so. Feels like forever. Your latest observation, for example:
Don’t look back. Islam is coming. Is Hollande being asked to start a peace process? I haven’t heard. Sorry. I am funny and intolerant that way.
Some 48 hours later Islam came. Islam came with a bang. What happened? Too much to ask, I’m afraid, because to some people it never sinks in. Islam came to town. More keep coming to the United States, Canada, and throughout Europe, most of them men without women or children; most of them of military age and most of them deserters.
It’s never been about Israel. It’s not about land. It’s not about anything. That’s the scary part. It’s about something else that our Western minds can’t absorb. Now who’s paranoid? Don’t look back. Islam is coming.
Some people never learn.

DHS enforcement has declined to comment on why five have been singled out, but starting sometime in 2016 [the precise date has not been formally announced], residents of Louisiana, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, and Wisconsin, besides Samoa are warned that they will need to carry a proper source of identification to travel commercially, domestically or otherwise—a pretty major development since 1/3rd of Americans are not permitted to. "Acceptable" IDs include passports and passport cards, as well as resident cards, military ID, and DHS trusted traveler cards such as Global Entry and NEXUS. Standard Driver’s Licenses are no longer valid, to board flights (The TSA also accepts Enhanced Driver’s Licenses, the kind that ~ currently ~ substitute passports for travel to and from Canada, the Caribbean, and Mexico.
