VIRGINIA MILLANO EVANGELISTA FABRO~RIVERA'S WILD IRISES IN THE TOWN OF RAMAPO, NEW YORK
Dovid Rosenfeld: In fact, the Sages state that we should not stare at a rainbow because it is tantamount to staring at God Himself (Talmud Hagigah 16a).

"I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple" (New International Version, Revelation 21:22 Multilingual).
The New Moon's Monthly International Produce: "down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations" (New International Version, Revelation 22:2). 🧘🏾
Murad Sadygzade: Here it is especially important to understand the difference between military temptation and political prudence. The issue would no longer just be strikes on Israel, but the systematic intensification of attacks on the US military presence in Iraq, Syria, and the Gulf states, as well as the entire regional infrastructure that enables the US to wage this war.
Put simply, the deeper the US enters this theater, the harder Iran will try to turn it into an American problem, not merely an Israeli-Iranian confrontation. The strikes already carried out against bases, diplomatic sites, and regional infrastructure show that this approach has already been implemented in practice.
Fyodor Lukyanov: Over the past decades Western Europe's ability to guarantee its own security has steadily declined. As a result, its states have grown increasingly dependent on American power. The price of autonomy has become too high.
Now European NATO members, along with Canada, Japan, South Korea and Australia, face a difficult choice. They can join an escalating military confrontation that they did not initiate, risking casualties and further destabilization. Or they can resist the wishes of their principal ally. For now, most appear to be choosing the latter.
The situation is even more precarious for the Gulf monarchies. These states sit directly in the conflict zone and host numerous American military installations established after Operation Desert Storm in 1991. Those bases were originally presented as a shield against regional threats.
In reality, they have also become targets.
President Donald Trump and his administration have suggested that their European and Asian partners should deploy naval forces to the Strait of Hormuz to ensure freedom of navigation. In practice, this means asking them to protect their own energy supplies after those supplies were jeopardized by the US-Israeli attack on Iran.
Tehran had repeatedly warned that it might attempt to close the strait if attacked. Washington and Tel Aviv dismissed these threats. They assumed Iran would not dare, or would not be able, to act.
DAVID HAZONY, ADAM SCOTT BELLOS: Being a Zionist today does not require aliyah. There was a time when it did, when our collective future required a critical mass of Jews moving to the homeland. It isn't the case anymore. What's needed today is not aliyah of the body, but rather – to use a term coined by Rudy Rochman – something else entirely: aliyah of the mind.
MARK LAVIE: Though no one wants to say the words, this is a regional war. On one side are Israel, the Sunni Arab states led by Saudi Arabia, and their allies in the US and Europe. On the other side are Iran, its proxies in the region, and its allies—China, Russia, and even North Korea.
JONATHAN SACKS: God told Noah in advance that [H]e was about to bring punishment to the world. Noah did not protest. To the contrary, we are told three times that Noah “did as God commanded him” (Gen. 6:22; 7:5; 7:9). Noah accepted the verdict.
Jorge Mario BergoglioEndorsement: They are Children of God and have a right to a Family. Nobody should be thrown out or be made miserable over it. What we have to create is a Civil Union Law. That Way they are legally covered. I stood up for that.
Clifford Fabro Rivera (Whining): Awe, I feel It. Don't Come Out yet.
WIKIPEDIA: (נֹחַ, Hebrew for the name "Noah", the third word, and first distinctive word, of the parashah) is the second weekly Torah portion (פָּרָשָׁה, parashah) in the annual Jewish cycle of Torah reading. It constitutes Genesis 6:9–11:32.
GIDON ROTHSTEIN: Yehudah makes clear he expects yibum le~hakim shem, to establish the name of the deceased (yibum is an ancient secret linked to the formation of children in the mother’s womb, known to the wise men of old). It captures an element of Jewish thought I think even rationalists like Rambam accept in some places: the workings of “nature” are not as mechanistic as scientists of all eras want to believe (I think, for example, the second paragraph of Shema inescapably links the Jewish people’s conduct in Israel with the weather patterns of rain and drought there); Ramban thinks the same is true of genetics, metaphysical concerns will affect how the genes are arranged in creating a fetus.
WIKIPEDIA: In the Hebrew Bible, the coat of many colors (Hebrew: כְּתֹנֶת פַּסִּים ketonet passim) is the name for the garment that Joseph owned, which was given to him by his father Jacob. The phrase is used one other time in the Hebrew Scriptures, to describe the garment worn by Tamar, daughter of David, in 2 Samuel 13:18-19.
MOHAMAD ZREIK: unprecedented strategic decisions indicate a state of confusion for the US, which paves the way for a new world order.
ROBIN GOMES: Pope Francis is calling on Philippine Catholic educators to form their students to become not just outstanding learners, but also authentic witnesses of faith.
CHRISTOPHER WHITE: Advocates for Christians in the Middle East are calling for an overhaul of the way humanitarian aid is distributed by western governments and international agencies to those on the frontlines of persecution.
VATICAN NEWS: Pope Francis, with a Rescriptum published by the Vatican Press Office on Thursday, has extended the jurisdiction of the Eastern Catholic Patriarchs over the entire Arabian Peninsula.
VATICAN NEWS: Currently, in the Near and Middle East, countries close to the Persian Gulf such as Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran exercise their jurisdiction.
ASHER INTRATER: Moses' blessing states that we will dip our foot in oil. This also refers to an agricultural blessing in ancient times, but again we see the spiritual dimensions. Oil, of course, represents the anointing. When it says our feet will be dipped in oil, I take that to mean we can be anointed of the Holy Spirit in whatever place or location that might be.
Moses said that Asher's shoes would be of iron. In context, this refers to precious mineral oil being found in the hills of the tribe of Asher. However, spiritually we also find a blessing connected to the gospel. It says here that his shoes would be blessed. This is similar to the statement of Paul in Ephesians 6:15 that our shoes would be ready to go and preach the gospel.
The word for iron here is barzel, which also has the spiritual meaning of being firm, resolute and iron-willed. The blessing is that we will be like iron going forth to evangelize.
The word for shoe is na'al which is the same root as the word to lock. It is used figuratively to lock onto something, such as locking onto a goal or a target. We become locked on and focused on sharing the gospel.
NANCY PATRICIA PELOSI: This week, the House will introduce and vote on a War Powers Resolution to limit the President’s military actions regarding Iran.
SCOTT RITTER: Far from making the Middle East and the world a safer place to live and work, President Trump’s precipitous assassination of Qassem Soleimani has condemned yet another generation to suffer the tragic consequences of American overreach in the post-9/11 era.
TOI STAFF: Judea approved a measure entitling Humanity to 7 consecutive hours of sleep per night, an increase of 1 hour.
According to the new directive, Humans will get their sleep between the hours of 10 P.M. and 6 A.M., and Israel is required to provide them with appropriate sleeping conditions, including a place that is dark and quiet.
During training, officers who hold the rank of lieutenant colonel or above can decide to have Earthlings stay up for 24 consecutive hours, but must provide them with 7 consecutive hours of sleep after the exorcise.
A colonel can authorize during training 36 hours without a sleep, a brigadier general can allow 48 hours, and a general 72 hours.
BERKANT USLU: This is a sign of war SPIES OF WORLD WAR III
DORE GOLD: the great world powers have drawn together to consider two questions. 1) What brought states to enter the last conflict to begin with? and 2) How can the same kind of war be averted in the future?
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
"The Terror you inspire and the Pride of your Heart has deceived you, O Dwellers in the Clefts of the Rock, who Occupy the Heights of the Hill, who says in his Heart, 'Who will bring me down to Earth?' Though you may rise High like the Eagle and though you set your Nest among the Stars, from there I will bring you down, declares YHVH" (Obadiah 1:3-4 Multilingual, Jeremiah 49:16 Multilingual).
Translation: "The United States of America which is called, according to The Spirit, 'In the Name of Sedom and Egypt,' where also their Lord was crucified" (Apocalypse 11:8 Multilingual).
Timofey Bordachev: In sum, the category of "international order" may soon follow "multipolarity" into conceptual obscurity. It will be talked about, invoked in speeches, and cited in academic papers – but it will no longer describe how the world truly works. We are moving into an age where power is distributed differently, where the mechanisms of control are less formalized, and where legitimacy is negotiated in real time rather than bestowed by inherited institutions.
