Philip Chism, 14, has pleaded not guilty to accusations of raping, robbing, and murdering his math teacher, Colleen Ritzer, 24, whose body was discovered with multiple stab wounds just behind the high school. Philip allegedly sexually assaulted Colleen with an object and, armed with a box cutter, robbed her of credit cards, an iPhone, and her underwear. The teenager proceeded to mutilate the shorter woman to death in a second-floor bathroom of the public school, before disposing of her corpse into the woods, and attending a screening of "Blue Jasmine," Woody Allen’s latest screwball American comedy.
It is not clear whether the aesthetically-pleasing pair were romantically involved, prior to the unfortunate incident on school grounds.
Philip is an avid sports enthusiast and active member of the junior varsity soccer team, who recently migrated from Tennessee. His fellow classmates describe him as likable, reserved and private. Since he stands at a towering 6-feet-2-inches and is projected to grow into a much taller and handsome athlete, he will be tried as an adult.
