welp, the u.s. ladies enter another olympics as world champs, defeating russia in team finals (with china smiling gracefully, biding their time for ultimate glory, which is usually the case at the end of each quadrennium; americans, russians, and romanians usually duke it out amongst themselves during the midterm) where the american bots with no dance skills have yet to capitalize on the crown. apparently, jewish gymnast, alexandra raisman gave a stern pep talk to her teammates prior to the big meet, but did not claim the leadership mantle away from her training partner and headcase now on crutches, alicia sacramone. oh. and chinese queen of american uneven bars, anna li gets gold for merely standing and not breaking a sweat during podium training and hypnotizing her teammates into hitting their routines from the pit, smiling in approval if they executed their jobs.

Alexander Shatilov of Israel qualified for the event final of Floor Exercise with the 3rd highest score at the World Championships in Tokyo, Japan (Jewish Elite Gymnast, Alexandra Raisman qualified to the finals of the All-Around, as well as the event finals of Balance Beam and Floor Exercise, besides the team.)
